Deputies seek suspect in pharmacy robbery

BRANDON — Deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Brandon pharmacy at gunpoint.

About 10 a.m. Tuesday, the man walked into the Medicine Shoppe, 216 Oakfield Drive, and told the employees, "You know what to do," according to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office.

The man walked behind the counter and opened a drawer where Oxycodone and Opana are stored and took 20 to 25 bottles of pills before leaving in a silver, older-model car, possibly a Saturn.

The man is described as white, 20 to 25 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 2, very thin and with a fair complexion. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white tennis shoes with black soles.

Deputies ask that anyone with information call deputies at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-8477.
