Deputies seize 102 pot plants at Thonotosassa home

THONOTOSASSA — An anonymous tip led deputies Wednesday to discover 102 marijuana plants being grown inside a house, authorities said.

Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives arrested Christopher Dean Raulerson, 49, on charges of cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Sheriff's Office, detectives acting on a detailed tip went to the home at 11902 N Grovewood Ave.

Detectives said they obtained consent to search the home and found two rooms had been converted to grow marijuana.

Besides seizing plants, the Sheriff's Office said detectives found loose marijuana and grow lights. The agency estimated the drug's street value at $14,000.

Raulerson was released on $4,500 bail Wednesday afternoon from the Orient Road Jail.
