Deputies: Tampa man found Pasco teen online, arranged for sex

WESLEY CHAPEL — A 22-year-old Tampa man is accused of finding a 14-year-old Wesley Chapel girl on a social networking website and persuading her to let him visit her for sex at least three times.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received a tip about the incidents, and federal agents interviewed the girl, who said Robert J. Noriega II "solicited her for sex online," a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report says.

Noriega admitted to investigators that he met the girl online, where her age was posted on her profile, and traveled from Tampa to Wesley Chapel to have sex with her in April and May, authorities say.

Noriega was arrested Thursday and charged with lewd and lascivious battery and traveling to meet a minor. He was released Friday from the Pasco jail on $20,000 bail.
