Woman accused of shooting, wounding husband near Zephyrhills

ZEPHYRHILLS — A woman shot her husband several times early Sunday at their home, critically wounding him, deputies said.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said it arrested a woman deputies identified as Diana Mathews, 42, on a charge of attempted murder. The agency said she would be booked into the Land O'Lakes Detention Center.

Her husband, George Reavis, 47, remained in critical condition Sunday morning at a hospital.

Deputies responded around 2:30 a.m. to a 911 call at 33502 Arthur Drive near Zephyrhills, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said. The shooting appeared to be "domestic related," he said.

The attack remained under investigation.
