2 witnesses, gunman sought in fatal shooting

TAMPA — Detectives investigating a fatal shooting at a Town 'N Country apartment are searching for two witnesses and a third man armed with a handgun, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

Sheriff's officials identified the victim as Jose Javier Roque-Paulaza, 20, whose 21st birthday would have been Jan. 2.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened about 9:40 p.m. Saturday at the Beacon Isle Apartments, 8830 Beacon Lakes Drive. Roque-Paulaza was found dead on the ground.

Detectives said they want to speak to two witnesses: Marcos "Andres" Martin Castillos and his twin, Marcos "Javier" Martin Castillos, both 17. They were with a third man who was not identified. All were riding in a dark Volkswagen Jetta.
