Dover man accused of raping 12-year-old girl

DOVER — A 21-year-old man was arrested Wednesday, accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Leobardo Martinez of Dover is charged with three counts of lewd or lascivious battery for acts between May and June, an arrest affidavit shows. The girl and Martinez knew each other.

Martinez remained at the Hillsborough County jail Thursday in lieu of $22,500 bail.
