TAMPA — A Riverview man arrested Sunday after reports of him waving a gun and threatening people in a string of road rage incidents in Tampa now faces more charges.
Andre Anthony Rivera, 42, was charged with four more counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, bringing the total to five. He remained in jail Monday afternoon on $10,000 bail.
According to Tampa police, Rivera threatened to shoot an unidentified woman during a road rage incident around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. When a man intervened, Rivera pepper-sprayed him in the face, kicked him in the head and chased him with a gun, police officials said.
Police said the additional charges stem from victims who say Rivera waved a gun out the window at them while driving.
Officers pulled over Rivera at Adamo Drive and N 22nd Street, where the said they found a gun and other weapons inside his vehicle.
