Electrical fire at Lutz home reveals grow house

LUTZ — The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is investigating a marijuana grow house found after a fire broke out Sunday.

Firefighters discovered the marijuana plants after an electrical fire started inside the rental home at 1018 Foggy Ridge Parkway, according to Melanie Snow, a spokeswoman for the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

After the fire was put out, detectives discovered at least 10 not fully matured plants.

Nobody was home when the fire broke out, and law enforcement officers were still trying to find out who the renters are, Snow said.
