Father faces murder charge in baby's death

TAMPA — A man charged with murder in the death of his 6-month-old son was booked into Orient Road Jail Tuesday.

Hector Jaiman III, 29, was transported from Erie, Pa., to Tampa following his arrest there last week in connection with the Feb. 1, 2008, death of Hector Jaiman IV.

Jaiman was the only person taking care of the boy at 1222 Rivage Circle in Brandon the night of Jan. 31, 2008, and the next morning, when officials believe the baby was injured. Jaiman was held without bond, charged with first-degree murder and child abuse.

His booking record lists his residence as Pennsylvania, where he was arrested by deputy U.S. Marshals.
