Fifth man charged in Hernando Beach bar holdup

NEW PORT RICHEY — A fifth man has been arrested in connection with a Saturday robbery of a Hernando Beach bar.

Christopher Hood, 24, who is listed as homeless by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, was arrested Monday on Ridge Road in New Port Richey. He is charged with 11 counts of armed robbery.

Hood and four other men are accused of entering the Beach Bar on Shoal Line Boulevard at 2 a.m. Saturday and robbing at least nine customers at gunpoint.

Hernando and Pasco county deputies arrested four other suspects: William Pent, 20, of Weeki Wachee and Joshua Depew, 19, Richard Depew, 21, and Shawn McLoughlin, 24, all of New Port Richey.

Each was charged with armed robbery and resisting arrest without violence, according to sheriff's reports.
