Fingerprints pointed to robber, Hillsborough deputies say

TAMPA — Deputies arrested a man they say robbed a bank a day earlier — and left his fingerprints on the note he handed to a teller.

Antonio Butler, 33, whose address was not provided, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday.

Authorities said that on Monday, he went into Century Bank at 716 W Fletcher Ave., gave the teller a note and left with cash. He fled in a silver vehicle.

Detectives said they found his fingerprints on the note, and the teller identified him in a lineup.

Butler faces a felony robbery charge and a violation of probation charge and was booked into the Orient Road Jail, where he was being held Wednesday without bail.
