Former Pasco jail deputy injured in shooting; neighbor held for questioning

SHADY HILLS — A former Pasco jail deputy is in serious condition this evening after being shot twice in the chest by a neighbor, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.

Sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said the man was shot in his own yard in the 17000 block of Haddock Drive. He was flown to a hospital in serious condition.

The Sheriff's Office has not released his name.

The shooting happened about 5:40 p.m. Doll said the suspect has been detained for questioning and the dispute between the neighbors has been ongoing for some time.
