Cops: Gang member in robbery, beating

A man's legs were broken with a baseball bat by a gang member, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

The man told authorities he met an acquaintance at a vacant house, where two other people joined in beating the man and stole his prescription medication and cash.

The incident happened on April 23 at 1435 Dartmouth Drive, a report said.

On Thursday, Adam R. Shane, 19, was arrested and charged with taking part in the crime.

His arrest report says Shane is a gang member.

Shane, who lives at 1042 Brass Lane, is charged with robbery.

He was being held Friday at the county jail on $50,000 bail.

Suspect arrested in liquor store robbery

MOON LAKE — Authorities say a man who held up a liquor store with a shotgun on June 5 has been caught.

Zachary K. Conner, 19, was arrested Thursday and charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon.

Conner allegedly held up All American Beverage on Moon Lake Road with a shotgun and fled on foot with $160 in cash and two cartons of cigarettes.

Conner, who lives at 10914 May Apple Court in Land O'Lakes, was in the county jail Friday on $75,000 bail.
