ST. PETERSBURG — A Georgia woman was critically injured on Saturday when she was struck by a vehicle while trying to flag down motorists on Pasadena Avenue following a domestic dispute, according to St. Petersburg police.

Nicole Donnelly, 24, vacationing from Marietta, Ga., was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of a 2006 BMW was travelling north in the 300 block of Pasadena Avenue at 11 p.m. when the vehicle struck Donnelly. The driver fled the scene, but police later located the BMW at the residence of Richard Todd Ford, 35. The BMW is registered to Ford.

No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation is ongoing, said police spokesperson Mike Puetz. Police would not say if Ford was driving the vehicle when it struck Donnelly.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash or the vehicle to contact the department at (727) 893-7780.
