Gibsonton man named in armed robbery warrant

GIBSONTON — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 32-year-old man accused of robbing a gas station at gunpoint in June, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Keyodist K. Patterson went into a Chevron gas station at 10920 U.S. 41 S on June 10 with a blue stocking over his face and armed with a double-barreled shotgun, deputies said.

He demanded money from the clerk, fired into the ceiling and pointed the gun at the clerk, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. Patterson faces charges of armed robbery, armed kidnapping and discharging a firearm in public, deputies said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
