Anja-J'Kobi Jackson was among 11 children riding in a 2000 Voyager van when, deputies say her mother lost control the vehicle and smashed into a retention wall on Lynn Turner Road near Village view Drive.

The investigation is ongoing. The girl's mother, Amanda J. Nelson, 34, has not been charged, a Sheriff's spokesman said.

Nelson, of 5740 Ridgestone Drive, also was not wearing a seat belt. Only Anja-J'Kobi, sustained incapacitating injuries.

This article has been revised to reflect the following correction: Anja-J'Kobi Jackson, 7, died following a Labor Day crash on Lynn-Turner Road. Her name was misspelled in stories published in the Times Sept. 9, 10 and 19, due to inaccurate information provided by the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office.
