SPRING HILL — Hernando deputies are investigating two robberies Thursday morning, including one involving two masked men, one of who was armed, who stole cash from a 24-hour gaming room.
The two masked men entered the AVA gaming room on Forest Oaks Boulevard at about 5:30 a.m. and demanded money. The subjects, believed to be white, ran from the business with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report.
The second robbery was at about 8:30 a.m. a Publix pharmacy on U.S. 19 when a man passed a note to a worker demanding oxycodone, according to a report. After receiving the drugs, he ran from the store and fled in a car, possibly a silver-gray Chevy Lumina or Nissan Altima.
Investigators said they do not know if the robberies are related.
