RIDGE MANOR — Hernando County sheriff's deputies are looking for two men wanted in a home invasion.

The Sheriff's Office gave this report: A man heard his doorbell ring about 8 p.m. Friday, and he opened the door at his Lakewood Drive home thinking that his storm door was locked.

As he opened his door, two men pushed their way into the home and demanded money. The 74-year-old man told them that he didn't have any money but offered them a small container of change. The suspects became angry, and one of the invaders struck him with a stick approximately 3 to 4 feet long, knocking him down.

The men fled when the victim yelled for his wife to call police. The victim suffered bruises and lacerations in the incident.

The area was searched by K9 units and the air unit, but the two invaders have not been found.
