BROOKSVILLE — A 33-year-old Hernando County man has been accused of having sex with a Polk County teenager he met online last year and brought to his Brooksville home on several occasions.
The 15-year-old told detectives that she met Chad Allen Geiger on Facebook, a social networking Web site, in June and the two began conversing online, according to a police report.
The girl told Geiger she was 20, the report states, and after two months of chatting, they agreed to meet. Geiger traveled to her home in Lakeland and told the girl's parents that he was the father of one of her friends.
The parents then gave their permission for the girl to go to Brooksville with Geiger for the weekend, the report states. The girl went to Geiger's home at 18039 Carrollwood Drive on three occasions and had sex with Geiger each time.
The girl's mother contacted Geiger on his cell phone last month and told him that the girl was only 15 years old. Geiger, the report states, said he thought she was 20.
The girl identified Geiger through a photo lineup and through piercings on Geiger's body.
Geiger was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a charge of lewd and lascivious acts on a child.
