BROOKSVILLE -- After authorities say a 15-year-old student brought a knife with a 4-inch blade to Hernando High School, he was arrested on a felony charge Wednesday.
An anonymous student, a report said, told a Hernando County Sheriff's Office deputy working as a school resource officer that another student had a knife.
After the deputy approached the boy, the report said he admitted having the weapon, which was found in his bookbag. He later told the deputy he'd brought it to school to give to another student, who the boy reportedly refused to name.
The suspect's name is being withheld because he is a minor.
