Highway Patrol searching for Spring Hill hit and run driver

SPRING HILL -- The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a vehicle that authorities say crashed into a Spring Hill house over the weekend and caused $15,000 in damage.

The vehicle -- which struck a home, two cars and two mail boxes in the 1500 block of Overland Drive about 1:30 a.m. Saturday -- was described as possibly a maroon Jeep Cherokee, a report said. Authorities said the vehicle suffered heavy front-end damage and a broken rear tail light.

Anyone with information should contact Trooper Tod Cloud at 1-800-500-1240.
