Hillsborough deputies hunt Sun City Center bank robber

SUN CITY CENTER — Hillsborough County deputies are looking for a man who walked into a bank with a white plastic bag covering his hands Monday afternoon and demanded money from the teller.

The robbery happened at the SunTrust Bank branch at 1525 Rickenbacker Drive at 2:23 p.m.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the man before he left, headed west on Rickenbacker.

The man was described as white, in his early 40s, 5-feet-2, 160 to 200 pounds with a heavy build and short, blond curly hair and stubble.

He was wearing a tan University of Florida baseball cap with an orange "F" on the front, a white T-shirt that said "Donate Blood," light blue jeans and white shoes.

Hillsborough detectives ask anyone with information about the man to call them at (813) 247-8200.
