TAMPA — After a graduation party turned deadly last month, deputies delivered a three-day crackdown over the weekend that led to the arrest of a Riverview man accused of allowing underage drinking.
Deputies arrested Sergio Giovana Llamas, 22, and charged him under a law that makes allowing underage drinking at a house party a misdemeanor.
Llamas, of 10832 Hoffner Edge Drive in Riverview, is accused of hosting an open house party at his home Friday night where juveniles drank alcoholic beverages, an arrest report shows.
Deputies booked Llamas into the Orient Road Jail Saturday morning. He was released on $250 bail a few hours later.
Other parties were also targeted and the parents of underage drinkers were called to pick-up their children, the report said.
The Sheriff's Office's "Operation Graduation" comes after a Durant High senior was shot to death at a party last month.
