Hillsborough deputies offer reward for missing cattle dog

TAMPA — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is offering a $500 reward for information on the whereabouts of its lost volunteer cattle dog, Doc.

Doc escaped Saturday morning from his trailer during a trip north on Interstate 75 near the Fruitville exit in Sarasota County, deputies said.

The dog, which helps herd loose cows off the roads, was paid for by agriculture Detective Lowell Cain.

Doc is a mixed breed cattle dog that weighs about 60 pounds, deputies said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Ron Cain at (813) 318-5681.
