Hillsborough deputies seek frequent robber

TAMPA — In six of the past seven days, the same man has walked into businesses in eastern Hillsborough County with a gun demanding money.

Sheriff's deputies said the times vary, but each robbery has been similar.

The most recent one happened at 1:40 a.m. Monday at the Hess Station on 3323 Lithia-Pinecrest Road in Valrico. He walked in and demanded cash from the clerk. After he got some money, he left in an unknown direction.

In Brandon, the suspect robbed the Beverage Castle at 117 Margaret St. on Oct. 12 and Chevron Station at 965 E Brandon Blvd. on Oct. 13.

He also robbed the Joy Food Store at 6314 Fowler Ave. on Friday, the Chevron Station at 930 U.S. 92 W on Saturday and Handy Food Store at 9320 E Adamo Drive on Sunday.
