Hillsborough deputies seek help identifying Steak 'n Shake robbery suspects

BRANDON — Hillsborough sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying two armed men caught on video Saturday robbing a Brandon Steak 'n Shake restaurant.

The two entered the restaurant at 1402 W Brandon Blvd. at 6:52 a.m. and ordered four employees into a storage room, deputies said. They fled the scene after taking money from the employees and the restaurant's cash registers.

The first suspect was described as a black man between 18 and 21 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 180 pounds with a thin build. During the robbery, he wore a black ski mask, black leather jacket, black gloves, dark pants and shoes and carried a handgun in his right hand.

The second suspect, also black, is between 22 and 29 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighs about 180 pounds with a thin build. He wore a black ski mask, long-sleeved black shirt, a black glove on his left hand, and black jean pants with a white design on the right thigh and rear pocket area. He was armed with a bolt action rifle, deputies said.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of either man should contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 873-TIPS (8477).
