Hillsborough deputies seek scruffy looking bank robber

BRANDON — Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies are asking for help finding a man wanted in a Wednesday bank robbery.

The robbery happened at the Sun Trust bank at 403 W Brandon Blvd. about 11:34 a.m.

An unidentified man gave the teller a note demanding money. He took an undisclosed amount and left on foot.

He was described as white, between 50 and 60 years old with salt and pepper hair and a scruffy, unshaven appearance. He was wearing a maroon baseball cap, sunglasses, a black T-shirt and pants.

Deputies ask anyone with information to call them at (813) 247-8200. A cash reward is offered through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477 or report anonymously at www.crimestopperstb.com or text CSTB and a tip to 274637.
