LAND O' LAKES — Pasco County sheriff's detectives have arrested a 35-year-old Hillsborough County man in a stabbing that deputies say took place at a wedding reception Saturday night.
David Lee Adler, of 308 Second Ave. in Lutz, was booked into the Land O'Lakes Detention Center on a count of attempted murder and was being held Sunday in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Sheriff's officials said they were called to the reception at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, 21705 YMCA Camp Road, about 8 p.m. Saturday regarding what they described as criminal mischief.
The responding deputy saw Adler fighting another man. During the fight, Adler pulled a knife and stabbed the 28-year-old victim in the face and chest, officials said.
The victim, whom deputies have not identified, suffered a punctured lung as well as cuts to his face and arm. He was flown by medical helicopter to an undisclosed hospital, where he was in critical condition Sunday.
