Hillsborough man faces 100 child porn charges

TAMPA — A 55-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on 100 felony counts of possession of child pornography, according to jail records.

Warren Dale Schmidt was arrested about 9 a.m. Tuesday at his home — 15012 Shaw Road, northwest of Tampa — on the child porn charges, and spent Tuesday night in a Hillsborough County Jail on $750,000 bail, records show.

Jail records say Schmidt is a chief engineer for Sinclair Broadcast Group, which owns WTTA MyTV Tampa Bay in this area.
