Deputies are asking for help finding a man who tried to rob a Tampa deli and threatened to shoot an employee if she didn't cooperate.

On Oct. 27 at 12:34 a.m., a man entered Joe's New York Deli and Catering at 3939 U.S. 301 N in Tampa and demanded money, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reported. He threatened a female worker, but ran out without getting any money when a customer arrived.

The Sheriff's Office describes the suspect as 40 and 50 years old, between 5 foot 10 and 6 foot 1 and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing wire-rimmed glasses, a blue baseball cap with a white logo, a green polo-type shirt, jean shorts and brown loafers.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to call Detective Tony Paladini at (813) 247-0555 or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-873-8477.
