House party hosts facing charges after deputies observe underage drinking

BROOKSVILLE

Minors + alcohol + party = charges

Two men living in a home where deputies observed underage drinking early Saturday are facing misdemeanor charges for hosting an open house party involving minors being served alcohol.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a call at 25035 Richbarn Road, east of Brooksville, about 1:30 a.m. when they saw a number of vehicles fleeing the residence. Deputies said they saw two beer kegs set up near the front of the house and empty beer cans and liquor bottles strewn on the ground.

Inside the home, they observed several subjects younger than 21, including three younger than 18.

When questioned, residents Jeremy Freeman, 27, and Jesse Freeman, 20, said they did not know who brought the alcohol to their house.
