Police sting leads to child porn charges

A 33-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he sent child pornography to a Virginia police detective in an undercover sting, deputies say.

On Nov. 10, the detective exchanged Yahoo! chat messages with Matthew Douglas Peters, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. During the chat, Peters sent two videos of children engaging in sexual activity, the report states.

The detective sent subpoenas to Yahoo! and Bright House Networks to trace the material to Peters in Hudson.

Peters was arrested on charges of possession and transmission of child pornography. He remained Wednesday in the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
