Human remains may be of former 'Thundercats' writer

WESLEY CHAPEL — Human remains were found Wednesday afternoon off Foamflower Boulevard in the Angus Valley area, according to the Zephyrhills Police Department.

Capt. Robert McKinney said his department is working with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office to see if these remains are related to the case of Stephen Perry, 56, the former Thundercats writer whose van was discovered at a Tampa hotel on May 16. Another body part was found nearby.

Perry's Zephyrhills' home had been ransacked, authorities said. His two roommates — James and Roxanne Davis — were arrested on unrelated charges and remain in the Pasco County jail. McKinney said both are people of interest in the apparent homicide case of Perry.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is analyzing the remains, McKinney said.
