Jealous man chased woman with machete, deputies say

DADE CITY — A 52-year-old man from Trinidad, Tobago, is accused of chasing a woman with a machete.

Clyde Frank Ramdath's stated reason: "No woman of mine is going to talk to another man," according to his arrest report.

It was about 7:45 p.m. Sunday when he chased the woman, who was not identified, in the area of 21st Street, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office report says. She ran into a church to call for help and Ramdath drove to his home on Random Lane, where he was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.

He remained Monday in the Pasco County jail without bail.
