Land O'Lakes man accused of stealing parts for air gun

LAND O'LAKES — Deputies say a 43-year-old man stole the parts he needed to fix a broken Airsoft rifle from a Walmart.

Robert Ortolano, a computer engineer for the city of Tampa, was charged with petty theft after opening a new rifle box and taking out a battery, magazine and a charger, according to an arrest report. Ortolano hid the parts in another box, paid for the other items in his cart and left the store without paying for the stolen items, the report says.

He told deputies he "made a mistake" and took the parts to repair a broken gun at home. The toy is valued at $99.97.

Ortolano, of 7717 Grasmere Drive, Land O' Lakes, was released from the Pasco County jail in Land O'Lakes on Friday after posting $150 bail.

If a team hopes to hang around the pennant race, they better have an ace. A stopper. A pitcher they can count on every fifth day to stop the bleeding, keep a winning streak going or flat-out win a game that a team flat-out needs to win.

WASHINGTON — After seven years of emphatic campaign promises, Senate Republicans demonstrated Wednesday they don't have the stomach to repeal "Obamacare" when it really counts, as the Senate voted 55-45 to reject legislation undoing major portions of Barack Obama's law without replacing it.
