Largo man accused of taking nude photographs of underage girl

LARGO — Deputies arrested a 63-year-old man Wednesday accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of an underage girl, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

According to arrest affidavits, Willie Atley of Largo took nude photographs of a girl several times since December. Detectives searched his Casio digital camera and found dozens of images.

Atley also paid $20 on several occasions to a girl he took sexually explicit photos of because "he knew that she needed the money," the affidavit states.

It was unclear in the affidavits how many girls deputies say Atley photographed.

Atley is also accused of sexually assaulting a girl he knew, according to an affidavit.

He faces charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and three counts of sexual performance by a child.

Atley was booked into the Pinellas County jail, where he remained Thursday in lieu of $70,000 bail.
