LARGO — Pinellas County sheriff's officials last week arrested two Largo teens in connection with a robbery outside JJ's Scoreboard sports bar. One of the teens also was booked on a count of robbing a pizza delivery driver.

Charged with two counts of armed robbery was Jordan C. Evans, 18. Matthew D. Chappell, 17, faces one count of armed robbery. Both live at 11726 90th St. N.

Sheriff's officials said the owner of the sports bar, which is at 11301 Starkey Road, was leaving the business around 1 a.m. Tuesday when he was approached by two males with jacket hoods covering their heads and bandanas shrouding the lower half of their faces. One robber brandished a gun and demanded cash.

The bar owner, who was not identified, took off running and was chased and struck with the gun before being robbed of a bank deposit.

The pizza delivery driver was robbed in the parking lot of the Seminole Village Apartments, 7700 Starkey Road in Seminole, about 12:45 a.m. Monday.

A tipster identified Evans and Chappell as suspects, sheriff's officials said. Both were arrested Wednesday night at home. Detectives say both admitted to their involvement.
