LARGO — Lisa Marie Mahaffey thought her neighbors wanted her evicted from the Whispering Pines mobile home park.

So, Largo police said, she scratched their cars with a sharp rock.

Mahaffey, 48, was arrested Tuesday morning on a felony charge of criminal mischief. She scraped at least six cars, officers said, and racked up $5,000 worth of damage.

On a post-arrest drive, Mahaffey pointed out the vehicles she damaged inside the neighborhood on 142nd Ave., police said. She called the vandalism spree "retaliation."

Mahaffey, who lives in unit 561, remained in the Pinellas County jail Wednesday, with bail set at $5,000. This was her first arrest in Pinellas County.
