CLEARWATER — A suspect in a home invasion robbery was arrested Wednesday night after a foot chase with Clearwater police, though officers say two accomplices got away.
Robert Marquis Reynolds, 19, and two other suspects approached the back of an apartment building at 1121 Druid Road and confronted one of the apartment's residents, police said. The trio forced the man inside with a handgun and held the family at gunpoint as the apartment was robbed, authorities said.
The three fled the scene and police were called.
Police located Reynolds as he was fleeing and attempting to ditch his pistol, authorities said.
Reynolds was in possession of several of the stolen items. He was arrested on several felony charges, including three counts of home invasion robbery and use of a firearm while committing a felony, according to police.
He is being held on $192,000 bond in the Pinellas County Jail.
Police still are searching for the other two suspects. Authorities said they do not believe it was a random crime.
