LARGO — A man called 911 after he was stabbed near Ulmerton Road and Coral Way early Thursday, deputies said.
Stuart Shipp, 48, was involved in a physical confrontation with an unknown male suspect, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The incident took place about 1 a.m.
Shipp was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening, the sheriff's office said. He was expected to be released Thursday afternoon.
Shipp told deputies he did not want to pursue charges and did not want the sheriff's office to continue investigating the incident.
