TAMPA — Police have arrested a man who broke up a game of dice Thursday night at Jackson Court Apartments, then chased down and shot one of the players.

Johnnie Lee "Bald Head" Jordan, 39, is charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery and possession of cocaine.

According to Tampa police, Jordan approached a dice game at 3806 Jackson Court around 8 p.m. with his .45 caliber handgun drawn, sending Leslie Jones, 18, and his associates running. Jordan fired up to 10 shots, hitting Jones in the wrist, foot and thigh. Jones collapsed behind a house on the northeast corner of 32nd Street N and Lindell, less than 500 feet away. None of Jones' injuries are considered life-threatening.
