Man hospitalized after Dade City stabbing

DADE CITY — A man was stabbed at a convenience store after an argument Tuesday evening, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

An altercation broke out at SAA Beauty Supply at 37330 Lock St. just before 5 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Office. The shop sits on a gas station lot and doubles as a food mart.

The injured man was taken to a local hospital. Pasco authorities did not know the extent of his injuries.

Authorities said they detained a suspect in the stabbing, which they suspected to be drug-related.

They did not provide further information.
