Man in wolf mask robs St. Petersburg Circle K

ST. PETERSBURG — Police are looking for a man who robbed a St. Petersburg Circle K on Wednesday night wearing a brown, furry wolf mask.

A security video shows the robber throwing open the door of the convenience store at 2749 Ninth Ave N. He had a plastic bag slung over his shoulder and a gun in his hand.

The man tossed the bag at the cashier and demanded all of the money from the till.

Once the wolf-masked man got the bag back, he ran to a nearby alley and took off in a white, 1990s-model Toyota Corolla, police said.

The robber was described as a black man standing about 6 feet tall, with a muscular build. On the night of the robbery, he wore dark Dickies work pants and a gray, long-sleeved shirt.

Anyone with information about the robber can call (727) 893-7780, text a tip to (727) 420-8911 or leave a confidential tip at (727) 892-5000.
