Man injured in Kenneth City hit-and-run

KENNETH CITY — Police are looking for a black Hummer that hit another vehicle Tuesday night and injured a passenger before fleeing the scene.

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. at 62nd Street N and 54th Avenue N.

Driver Crystal Palomino, 37, of St. Petersburg, said she was stopped at the intersection, waiting for the red light to change, when a black Hummer crashed into the rear of her Jeep. The Hummer's driver then drove north on 62nd Street without stopping.

Palomino was uninjured. Her passenger, Daniel Jesus Palomino, 45, of St. Petersburg, was taken to St. Petersburg General Hospital with injuries.
