Man named 'Stoner' arrested on drug charges

CLEARWATER — Police arrested a Clearwater man on drug charges for the second time in less that four years.

His name?

Glenn H. Stoner.

Stoner, 56, of 1265 Pierce St., was charged Tuesday with cultivation of marijuana and operating a drug house, both felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia.

In 2007, Stoner was ordered into a pre-trial intervention program after a December 2006 arrest on charges of possession and manufacture of marijuana.

Clearwater police executing a search warrant Tuesday evening found 19 marijuana plants and various indoor growing equipment, including irrigation systems and fertilizers, in Stoner's bedroom, according to an arrest report.

Stoner said he smokes all of the marijuana himself and said none belongs to his roommate, the arrest report said.

On Wednesday, Stoner was being held in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $10,150.
