SPRING HILL — David V. Hubbard II wanted to return a printer to the Walmart on Monday night. The problem, authorities say: The 40-year-old Spring Hill resident mistakenly brought his marijuana and pipe, too.
A customer service representative at the store on Cortez Boulevard told a deputy that she discovered a multicolored glass pipe and plastic bag containing a green leafy substance in the same bag as the printer, according to a Hernando Sheriff's Office report.
When the deputy asked Hubbard if he forgot the drugs and pipe were in the bag, he smirked and replied, "Yea," the report says.
Hubbard was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was released from the Hernando County Detention Center after posting $1,000 bail, records show.
