Man robs Cash for Gold store in Hernando

BROOKSVILLE — Hernando deputies are searching for a man who robbed the Cash for Gold Store at 16340 Cortez Blvd. in Brooksville on Monday evening.

The store clerk told deputies that a man entered the store about 5:45 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Authorities do not know whether he continued on foot or left in a vehicle.

The victim described the suspect as a black man who stood 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighed about 150 pounds and was clean shaven with a short haircut. He was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt with a blue design on the front.
