PALM HARBOR — Detectives were searching for a man who robbed a Publix at gunpoint Saturday while wearing black makeup and a red curly wig.
The armed man entered the grocery store at 35439 U.S. 19 about 9 p.m. and demanded money from a manager.
After the manager handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber ran away, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
Surveillance video at the store also shows the suspect was wearing a hat inscribed with the letters "TK" over the wig.
