Memorial services set for slain Tampa Police Cpl. Mike Roberts

TAMPA — The Tampa Police Department has released information about memorial services for Cpl. Mike Roberts, who was killed Wednesday night during a confrontation with a heavily armed man pushing a shopping cart.

Roberts' name will be engraved on the Tampa Police Memorial at 9 a.m. Monday. The memorial is at 411 N Franklin St.

A wake will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W Bearss Ave.

St. Timothy Catholic Church will be the site of Cpl. Roberts' memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The church is at 17512 Lakeshore Drive, Lutz.
