Michael Lohan's ex-girlfriend arrested in Los Angeles on Tampa-bound plane

TAMPA — On her way back to Florida to appear in court requesting a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan's estranged father, Kate Major was arrested in an on-board battery incident at Los Angeles International Airport, officials said.

Major, a former tabloid reporter who dated Michael Lohan for several years, was seeking a restraining order against the famous actress's father after he was accused of beating and harassing her last month. She was heading to Tampa International Airport for a Monday morning court appearance.

Major was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night, officials said.

Major was intoxicated and sitting in first class of a Delta flight at the time of her arrest, TMZ reported.

Following his first arrest on domestic battery charges in Tampa two weeks ago, Lohan blamed Major for setting him up to be arrested, claiming it's "how she makes money."
